When I see something like the picture above, my heart just melts... Kururun, cuddly cats, sanrio... I love soft warm things you can hug and squeeze. I also think it's even cuter if they have a nuetral expression on their face. lol.
I'm no historian, but the 60's and 70's are a very interesting period of history. To me, they signify the transition to "the modern era" with a couple of events. I really like the overall styles + trends from this time.
Warm lighting. Wooden furniture. Groovy aesthetics. Plants. Modern art. Oranges, chocolate browns, greens, and teals everywhere. Salt lamps! (The end of the Hays Code.) Frosty pink lips. Feminine lashes. A boyish or bohemian style. Flowers. Yeah I'm over simplifing it all a little bit, but I think it all looks very nice overall. There's trends I really like from every decade anyways, and it's fun to see how things were back in the day. Check out books like this one on the Internet Archive for more!
